Sandy Alcantara Seeking Consistency Versus Yankees
9 months agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara takes the hill for Saturday's start versus the New York Yankees. The 2022 NL Cy Young Award winner carries an uneven 4.28 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 125 strikeouts over 149.1 innings in 2023. However, Alcantara faces a Yankees team in this one that he has dominated for a 1.26 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, and 19 punchouts over 14.2 frames (two starts) since 2020. These figures show the 27-year-old's best ERA and WHIP against any club he's made multiple career starts against. The current Yankees roster is also a paltry 3-for-34 collectively versus Alcantara. Season-long fantasy managers should fire up the right-hander in starting lineups with some degree of confidence on Saturday.
