Paul Goldschmidt Sees Favorable Matchup On Thursday
8 months agoThe St. Louis Cardinals and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt kick off a four-game set with the New York Mets on Thursday. The 35-year-old has posted three multi-hit efforts in his last four outings and looks to be in an outstanding spot out of the two-hole for the series opener against Jose Quintana. Goldschmidt has utterly wrecked the Mets' southpaw by going 11-for-17 with three home runs, three doubles, and a walk in 19 career plate appearances opposing Quintana. Season-long fantasy managers should already be setting and forgetting Goldschmidt in lineups, but perhaps there's an added layer of anticipation for this one in what could be a high-scoring affair.
