Paul George 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George will look to improve after an up-and-down first year with his club. George had a rough start to the 2017-18 campaign as it took some time for the Thunder's “Big 3” experiment to gel if it ever did. George’s output resembled that of a highly volatile penny stock chart as in seven games in October he only managed to average 19.6 points on 43.4% shooting while supplying 2.4 steals. Then came the PG of old in February where he put up top-10 caliber numbers with 26.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.1 steals on 45.8% shooting in 12 games, then to see his stats plummet in March. This had a lot to do with the Thunder finding their footing throughout the season but with Carmelo Anthony not in OKC anymore, we can expect George to be the clear number two option and possibly the first option on some nights. We should see a bounce-back year from the elite two-way player and with possible top-15 ranking come season’s end.
