Nolan Arenado’s Two Home Runs Not Enough In Loss
10 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado went 2-for-5 with two homers and four RBI in Friday's 8-7 loss to the Chicago White Sox. The 32-year-old thumped a few two-run bombs in this one, but St. Louis lost anyway with Jordan Montgomery (hamstring) exiting early and the bullpen not up to the task. After a difficult spring, Arenado has done his part at the plate to keep the Cardinals afloat in the standings despite some uncharacteristically shaky defense. Since June 6, the 2023 All-Star is hitting .327 with a 1.079 OPS, nine goners, and 23 RBI across 98 at-bats. Arenado looks well on his way to another top-level positional fantasy finish. Hopefully fantasy managers bought low on the multi-time Silver Slugger while his stock was depressed earlier this year.
