Nathan Eovaldi Set To Face Live Hitters Next
8 months agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (forearm) is scheduled to throw to live hitters during this week's upcoming series in Arizona against the Diamondbacks. It's the next step in the 33-year-old's recovery program after throwing three bullpen sessions without a problem. The Rangers placed Eovaldi on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm strain on July 30, and he appears likely to have missed around a month of play by the time he returns. The 2023 All-Star right-hander still has a chance to be activated in late August if all continues to go well. Eovaldi, a top-five roto-league fantasy pitcher this year, has registered a 2.69 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, 111 strikeouts, and 11 wins in 123.2 innings.
