MRI Reveals UCL Sprain For Walker Kessler
6 months agoUtah Jazz center Walker Kessler (elbow) will be shut down for at least two weeks due to a UCL sprain in his left elbow. An MRI showed Kessler's injury, which originated from the regular-season opener. The 22-year-old paint presence will now be reduced to non-contact rest for the time being. It's a tough break for an already struggling Kessler, whose soreness could be partly to blame for his being able to barely crack the top 150 in 9-category per-game value to this point. The second-year big man's stead sets up the versatile Kelly Olynyk for a big role in Utah's rotation as an immediate fantasy waiver-wire pickup. Keyonte George (foot) is active and will start for head coach Will Hardy against the Indiana Pacers, per the Salt Lake Tribune's Andy Larsen, while fellow combo guard Collin Sexton could also see an uptick in playing time for an up-tempo environment that offers the highest implied point total (242.5) of Wednesday's busy 14-game slate.
