Mitch Haniger Slated For Batting Practice Saturday
9 months agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Mitch Haniger (forearm) is slated to take batting practice in the cage on Saturday. The 32-year-old sustained a right forearm fracture on June 13 and underwent surgery a day after to repair the injury. Haniger's initial 10-week return timetable lines him up tentatively for a late-August return, but there's a chance his absence extends into early September. The oft-injured slugger also missed the campaign's initial 21 games due to an oblique strain. Haniger would return to a disappointing .230/.281/.372 triple-slash line with four home runs, nine doubles, and 22 RBI over 148 at-bats whenever he may be activated.
