Matt Olson Surging, Clubs Two Home Runs
10 months agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 11-10 shootout loss to the Cincinnati Reds. The 29-year-old is starting a power surge, having belted five round-trippers for 10 RBI in his last seven contests since moving down to the five-hole. Perhaps Olson is making himself comfortable there. In 96 at-bats while batting fifth since 2021, Olson is hitting .302 with 11 dingers and 26 RBI. The former All-Star is slashing .233/.345/.521 with 23 bombs and 55 RBI over 288 at-bats. Hopefully fantasy managers are punting either the batting average or stolen base category to fully appreciate Olson's slugging goodness.
