6 months agoOakland Athletics shortstop Marcus Semien collected two singles, a double, two runs scored and two RBI in Sunday's 8-7 road loss against the Texas Rangers to bump his average up to .338. Semien and leadoff hitter Robbie Grossman did a good job setting the table, each posting at least two hits. Semien has now hit safely in seven consecutive games, going 12-for-30 (.400) with nine runs scored, four doubles, two homers and seven RBI during the white-hot stretch. He'll try to keep it going Tuesday night against Houston Astros RHP Collin McHugh after the team's scheduled day off.--Daniel E. Dobish - RotoBaller
