LaMarcus Aldridge 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge had one of the best seasons of his career in 2017-18, scoring 23.1 points per game on 51 percent shooting, but the team's change of personnel is bound to leave a mark on his fantasy value going forward. Playing without Kawhi Leonard for pretty much the whole season, Aldridge had incredible usage numbers on his way to averaging 18 shots per game, nearly four more compared to his first two years in San Antonio. He'll be expected to coexist with DeMar DeRozan now though, with the former Raptor wanting his big share of the possessions. Both will likely make sacrifices for the team, which will drag their numbers down, but it shouldn't be a huge drop-off and with his rebounding and shot-blocking ability, Aldridge still remains a good fantasy option. He matched his career-high in blocks last season with 1.2 and picked up 8.5 rebounds per game. There were only two power forwards in the league with more double-doubles than him (27).
