Kyrie Irving Remains Out Against Clippers
5 months agoDallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (heel) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The tally of missed games will reach six on Wednesday for Irving, who remains on the shelf with a right heel contusion that he suffered on Dec. 8. Dallas is yet to provide a definitive timeline for Irving's return, so he would appear rather unlikely to play on Friday for a Southwest Division clash with the Houston Rockets. It's been a Luka Doncic takeover for the 16-10 Mavericks in Irving's stead, with Doncic compiling 33.3 points, 11.6 assists, 9.3 rebounds, 4.0 three-pointers, and 1.2 steals in nine games without Irving in 2023-24. Dante Exum is averaging 17.0 points on a sizzling 74.4% field-goal clip with 3.6 assists and 2.4 threes in 29.7 minutes across his last five dates, so the former No. 5 overall pick is worth riding in fantasy hoops until the wheels fall off.
