Kyle Schwarber Goes Hitless; Remains Buy-Low Option
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Kyle Schwarber went hitless (0-for-5) in the team's defeat to the Red Sox on Saturday. It was the fourth consecutive game that Schwarber has gone without a knock, enough to help form an ugly 0-for-19 slump across that stretch. The 30-year-old slugger has just one hit, a home run on May 1, over his last 27 at-bats now. That makes the reigning Silver Slugger an attractive buy-low fantasy commodity, however, while his asking price is still in a depreciated state. Schwarber is certain to hurt the batting average category and loses a bit of appeal in leagues that don't count walks, but his power potential (46 homers in 2022) is undeniable atop a loaded Phillies lineup.
