Kyle Kuzma Cleared For Opener
6 months agoThe Washington Wizards have removed forward Kyle Kuzma (calf) from the injury report ahead of Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Indiana Pacers. Kuzma couldn't play in the Wizards' final two preseason games with a calf contusion, but lit it up in the two exhibition contests he did participate in. The 28-year-old scored 41 points on 15-of-26 shooting with eight rebounds and five assists in 44 combined preseason minutes this fall. Kuzma is slated to share the bulk of Washington's offensive burdens with the incoming Jordan Poole, and he ultimately looks like a points-league preference. Kuzma averaged 22.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.3 three-pointers in three games against Indy last season, and Wednesday's contest features a slate-high 235.5-point implied total.
