Ke'Bryan Hayes Smacks Go-Ahead Three-Run Blast
4 months agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes went 3-for-4 with a double, a three-run homer, and an additional RBI to power the squad to a comeback 7-5 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday. The 26-year-old now has a raised .231 BA and .375 SLG, but he might be swinging the bat better than those numbers insinuate. Hayes possesses an improved 17.4% strikeout rate accompanied by a 92.6 average exit velocity this year. The former first-round pick might be rostered in deep leagues already for his tantalizing upside, but fantasy managers in shallow formats shouldn't forget about him, either. Hayes leads the major leagues in triples (four) and also owns 27 runs scored, three dingers, 23 RBI, and six stolen bases this season.
