Kawhi Leonard Undergoes “Clean-Up” Knee Surgery
11 months agoLos Angeles Clippers guard/forward Kawhi Leonard (knee) had a "clean-up procedure" done on his right knee on June 6. The 31-year-old is expected to be recovering for eight weeks, but should be ready for training camp. It's another nick on the lengthy injury history for Leonard, who suffered a torn meniscus during Los Angeles' first-round playoff series with the Phoenix Suns. Excluding an entirely missed 2020-2021 with an ACL injury, the oft-injured swingman has averaged only 46 games per season across five other campaigns since 2017-2018. Leonard was still a second-round fantasy value last year despite a slow start. The two-way superstar's virtually flawless fantasy skillset might make him difficult to displace from the early rounds of drafts despite his injury-prone nature.
