Kawhi Leonard Out With Groin Strain
2 months agoThe Los Angeles Clippers say forward Kawhi Leonard (groin) is out for Wednesday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Leonard is dealing with a strained left groin and will miss his first game since late December. Groin strains can be tricky and tend to result in multi-week absences, so while the All-Star break comes at the right time for Leonard and the Clips, there's no guarantee the two-way superstar will be ready to go when play resumes on Feb. 22 in a showdown with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Paul George and James Harden will steer the offense on Wednesday, and Amir Coffey figures to make a spot start in L.A.'s first unit. In seven starting appearances this year, Coffey has averaged only 10.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers, and 1.3 assists and isn’t a great streaming option for fantasy purposes.
