Josh Naylor Fields Ground Balls Thursday
9 months agoCleveland Guardians first baseman Josh Naylor (oblique) fielded grounders before Thursday's game versus the Toronto Blue Jays. He "felt great, but he will continue to do more one-on-one drills before ramping up his baseball activities". Naylor officially hit the injured list on Aug. 4 with a right oblique strain and was provided an "extremely tentative" three-to-six week return timetable. The 26-year-old remains week-to-week and is looking at a possible comeback by mid-September if the side discomfort doesn't linger. Fantasy managers should hang on tight to Naylor, who was batting .368 with a .987 OPS, eight home runs, 20 doubles, and 47 RBI in 201 at-bats over his prior 50 games to being injured since May 30.
