Jerami Grant 2019 Season Outlook
5 years agoDenver Nuggets power forward Jerami Grant has landed in the Mile High after a breakout season in Oklahoma City last year where he put up 13.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, 0.8 steals and 1.3 makes from three on a respectable shooting split of .497/.392/.710. If you throw in his 0.8 turnovers a night for 9-category leagues, you are looking at solid mid-round value. The move to Denver will only hurt his value as he will be behind Paul Millsap at the starting power forward spot, and with development of Michael Porter Jr. who will see some minutes here as well. Grant will not get the minutes he did last season (32.7 a night in 2018-19). We can assume the aging Millsap will miss some time and Porter Jr. still has many question marks around him and his health. Grant may just go undrafted in shallower leagues, so if he does, or if he is still floating around draft boards in the later rounds, he could be worth a look, especially in dynasty leagues, where the Nuggets have hinted, he could be the club’s power forward going onward after this campaign.
