6 months agoNew York Mets third baseman Jed Lowrie (knee) is not at camp on Thursday and is in New York getting an MRI exam on his sore left knee. The team is awaiting the results. It could be nothing serious but it could also be something that would put him in danger of missing the start of the regular season. Lowrie set career highs in home runs (23) and RBI (99) in his final season in Oakland, but he faces an uphill battle of matching those numbers in his first year in New York. Starting off the spring with a knee ailment isn't a good sign for the 34-year-old (35 in April). Don't overspend based on his production last season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
