Jayson Tatum Iffy, Sam Hauser Out Monday
1 month agoBoston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (ankle) is questionable for Monday's tilt versus the Detroit Pistons, while Sam Hauser (ankle) is out. The durable Tatum is nursing a right ankle impingement on the second half of Boston's back-to-back after the team beat the Washington Wizards 130-104 on Sunday, threatening his status against the lowly Pistons. It's worth noting Tatum played only 27 minutes in that one, so he should have a decent chance of suiting up on Monday. After the red-hot Hauser sprained his left ankle on Sunday, he'll hope to return for Wednesday's battle with the Milwaukee Bucks. A huge boost in usage would be in store for Jaylen Brown (ankle) if he is active and Tatum is not. Across three games without Tatum this season, Brown averaged 33.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.6 threes and could erupt against a Pistons club giving up the fifth-most points per game (120.1).
