James Johnson 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoMiami Heat forward James Johnson will be looking to mold his great 2018 postseason into a full year of excellence in the new NBA season. The former Raptor was in the middle of everything during the team's first-round matchup against the Sixers, scoring 12.4 points with six rebounds, 4.8 assists,1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks. He shot 54.8 percent from the field and an incredible 53.8 percent from behind the arc with 2.6 attempts per game. His regular season run wasn't bad either, with 10.8 points and career-highs in both rebounds and assists with 4.9 and 3.8 respectively. Johnson mentioned last month that he played all of last year with a nagging injury, so it will be very exciting to see what he can do when he's fully healthy. He missed nine games last year, averaging 26.6 minutes, which was a bit less compared to the previous year. His role on the team is safe though after Miami signed him to a four-year, 60-million deal during the offseason.
