James Harden Out Thursday, Not Traveling With Team
6 months agoPhiladelphia 76ers guard James Harden (personal) is not suiting up for Thursday's regular-season opener against the Milwaukee Bucks. After being away from the team throughout the preseason's final stages, Harden returned to the Sixers' practice facility Wednesday and "is set restart his ramp-up process". The Athletic's Sham Charania also reports that the disgruntled 34-year-old All-Star has been asked to not travel with the squad ahead of their two-game road trip. With that said, Harden also appears unlikely to play in Saturday's meeting in Toronto with the Raptors. To no one's surprise, the drama continues to rage on between both sides here. Harden's next real chance to make his 2023-24 debut seems to be at Sunday's home opener. The 10-time All-Star's usage should be dispersed around Philly's lineup for however long he is absent, with De'Anthony Melton likely being a must-roster fantasy player.
