Jamal Murray Iffy Due To Multiple Ankle Sprains
5 months agoDenver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray (ankle) is questionable to play on Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls. A right ankle sprain cost Murray a back-to-back set on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, but he's now dealing with bilateral sprains in both ankles after tweaking the left one in Monday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. Denver's star point man has faced some rotten injury luck during 2023-24's first quarter of action, but Murray is averaging a strong 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 3.3 three-pointers in just 28.1 minutes through his past four games since returning from a hamstring strain on Nov. 29. The Nuggets offense would center around Nikola Jokic if Murray is absent on Tuesday, but Reggie Jackson has proven to be the direct fantasy beneficiary of Murray's prior voids with 16.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 1.8 threes in 30.0 minutes per night covering 14 games without him this year.
