Giancarlo Stanton Out Of Thursday’s Lineup
10 months agoNew York Yankees designated hitter/outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is missing from Thursday's lineup versus the Baltimore Orioles. It appears to be a routine day off for the 32-year-old. Billy McKinney (foot) returns to the lineup just in time to man right field and bat sixth vs. Kyle Bradish in Stanton's stead. Since coming off the injured list with a hamstring strain on June 1, Stanton is hitting a pitiful .161 (14-for-87) with just three home runs and nine RBI. The five-time All-Star next gets a weekend set with the Chicago Cubs, who Stanton went 3-for-10 with one homer, four RBI, and four walks across three games against them last year.
