George Springer Goes Yard In Rout
10 months agoToronto Blue Jays right fielder George Springer went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, and three RBI in Friday's lopsided 12-2 win over the Detroit Tigers. The 33-year-old chased Alex Faedo from the game after finishing off a six-run fourth-inning blitz by Toronto. Springer has carried on his stalwart status this year, batting .269 with 13 big flies, 39 RBI, 13 stolen bases, and 52 runs scored across 346 at-bats. The four-time All-Star seems to have put behind him an early-season slump which saw him hit .219 with a .602 OPS through his first 39 games. Continue to view the leadoff-hitting Springer as a high-end fantasy outfielder as the catalyst of the high-powered Jays offense.
