Francisco Lindor Caps Off Thriller With Walk-Off Single
11 months agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor went 3-for-6 with two runs scored and a game-winning single to sink the Cleveland Guardians 10-9 in a back-and-forth shootout on Friday. The 29-year-old delivered a memorable finish to his first game against the team that traded him in 2021. Lindor is yet to rediscover his Silver Slugger form with the Mets from his days with Cleveland, but he remains one of the most well-rounded fantasy shortstop options. The four-time All-Star is now slashing an improvable .235/.313/.419 with six homers, 32 RBI, and four stolen bases this year. Each of those hitting averages represent career lows, so expect Lindor's numbers to gradually rise as New York's offense continues to slug its way out of their recent funk.
