Eury Perez Likely Returning To Big-League Roster Soon
10 months agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Eury Perez appears on track to return to the major-league rotation at some time next week. Craig Mish of the Miami Herald hears that "it seems possible Perez will pitch against the New York Yankees next weekend at loanDepot park". The 20-year-old hurler tossed 3.1 innings with three earned runs and seven strikeouts in his latest minor-league appearance. Following his July 6 start, Perez was sent to Double-A in an effort to manage the rookie's workload. But it seems as though the Fish are close to reinstating Perez, so fantasy managers should view this report as the cue to begin scouring waiver wires to see where the flame-throwing righty is available. Miami's top pitching prospect would return to a promising 2.36 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 61:17 K:BB across 53.1 big-league frames in 2023.
