Dyson Daniels Facilitates Offense In Win
10 months agoNew Orleans Pelicans guard Dyson Daniels produced 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field with eight assists and three rebounds in Tuesday's 82-73 win over the Phoenix Suns. The 20-year-old posted four turnovers, but blocked three shots in the victory. Daniels remains fairly raw offensively after netting just 31.4% of his shots from downtown and 65.0% from the stripe in his 2022-2023 rookie season. The point forward has the potential to be a multi-stat contributor, but the 2023 first-round selection of Jordan Hawkins clouds Daniels' pathway to reserve minutes at the 2 in New Orleans. A first-rounder in his own right, Daniels does have a shot at operating as the backup point guard for the Pelicans next year.
