Donovan Mitchell Out, Caris LeVert Iffy Wednesday
5 months agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game versus the Miami Heat, while guard/forward Caris LeVert (knee) is listed as questionable. Mitchell will remain out for the fourth game in a row due to a right hamstring strain. On a four-game winning streak, Cleveland continues a five-game homestand with the first leg of a back-to-back set on Saturday against the Los Angeles Lakers, marking Mitchell's next chance to return. The 27-year-old four-time All-Star has put up magnificent numbers in 2023-24, averaging 29.2 points, 5.3 assists, 2.5 threes, and 2.0 swipes. With LeVert still up in the air due to left knee injury management that's taken him out of action for consecutive contests, Darius Garland is going to be busy either way. Perhaps we'll get another look at undrafted rookie Craig Porter Jr., who has emerged from obscurity for 15.0 points, 6.0 dimes, 1.0 steals per game over his last three nights.
