Dodgers Eyeing Nolan Arenado In Trade Talks
9 months agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers have reached out to the St. Louis Cardinals for trade discussions about third baseman Nolan Arenado, per Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times. While the Cardinals prepare to flip some of their expiring contracts at the deadline, it would be nothing short of shocking to see them part ways with the eight-time All-Star. Arenado is under contract until 2028 which includes a full no-trade clause. However, Castillo also hears Arenado would waive his no-trade clause to potentially join the Dodgers. It's no secret how disappointing St. Louis has been this season, but Arenado's stick has represented a bright spot with a .287 BA, 22 homers, 77 RBI, and two stolen bases through 380 at-bats. As it stands, fantasy managers might want to expect the five-time Silver Slugger to stay put with the Cards unless the trade whispers seriously start to heat up. Stay tuned.
