Devin Booker Sitting Against Lakers
7 months agoPhoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (foot) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. This could be an early case of load management with left foot soreness for Booker, who looked no worse for wear with 32 points, eight assists, and six rebounds in Tuesday's narrow 108-104 win over the Golden State Warriors. The 26-year-old superstar will hope to be available for Saturday's home opener versus the Utah Jazz. The Suns are really short on traditional point men now, and Eric Gordon appears to have a good chance at a spot start in Booker's absence Thursday. Jordan Goodwin could be a wild card, since he was the only true point guard to take the court Tuesday. Kevin Durant's usage figures to go through the roof in this one and more will be asked of Jusuf Nurkic, but he averaged just 5.3 points (8.7 rebounds) and 2.3 assists in 25.8 minutes over three games opposing L.A. last year.
