Colts Get Tight End Help With Will Mallory
12 months agoThe Indianapolis Colts selected Miami tight end Will Mallory with the 162nd overall pick in the NFL Draft. Mallory participated in five seasons at Miami and mostly improved in each year, capping it off with 42 receptions for 538 yards in 2022. He eclipsed the 300-yard threshold in total receiving to close each of his final three campaigns. The 23-year-old trails only Clive Walford in program history for most catches, yards, and touchdowns at the tight end position. The speedy pass catcher, Mallory, punched in the fastest 40-yard dash time of all tight ends at the combine at 4.54 seconds. With that level of speed and size at 6-foot-5, Mallory could develop into a mismatch creator on the NFL gridiron. He may be worth keeping an eye on as a speculative flier even in deep redraft formats on the Colts, who seem to have relatively light positional competition in Jelani Woods, Kylen Granson, and Mo Alie-Cox.
