Chris Bassitt Tries To Aid Playoff Push In Final Start
7 months agoThe Toronto Blue Jays will try to hang on to an American League wild-card spot while starting pitcher Chris Bassitt takes the mound on Thursday versus the division-rival New York Yankees. The 34-year-old also aims for his 16th win of the campaign during his final start of 2023 and tie Zach Eflin as the AL leader in this category. Bassitt should have a good chance to do so against a Yankees club that he boasts a 1.38 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 14:3 K:BB over 13 career innings since 2021. The right-hander has kept the contact light when opposing the current New York roster, giving up only one extra-base hit in 50 plate appearances. Bassitt should remain deployed across all fantasy formats during championship week.
