7 months agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Casey Mize, the team's top prospect and No. 16 overall per MLB Pipeline, has been promoted from High-A Lakeland to Double-A Erie. The first overall pick of last year's draft allowed one run on seven hits in 26 innings (0.35 ERA, 0.30 WHIP) while striking out 25 and walking one in his four starts for Lakeland. The 21-year-old will move quickly through Detroit's system and could find himself starting games for the Tigers at some point this season. Grab him now in dynasty/keeper leagues and AL-only formats if he's available.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
