Brayan Bello Solid In No-Decision On Monday
9 months agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello threw 6 2/3 innings, giving up one run on six hits and one walk in a no-decision on Monday versus the Kansas City Royals. He struck out two batters. Bello was faced with runners at the corners during the fifth frame after allowing a leadoff double, a stolen base, and a walk, but left them stranded. The 24-year-old was chased by a double from Kyle Isbel, who scored a run which Bello was ultimately accountable for. While the right-hander logged a season-low two punchouts, Monday marked the first time since June 29 that Bello pitched one-run ball, and he's also lasted at least six innings in 10 of his prior 11 showings. The hard-throwing righty takes a 3.64 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 91:30 K:BB into a plus draw with the Detroit Tigers on Saturday.
