Bennedict Mathurin Having Elbow Injury Evaluated
7 months agoIndiana Pacers guard/forward Bennedict Mathurin (elbow), who didn't practice on Tuesday, is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Boston Celtics. Mathurin is getting a right elbow injury examined by doctors after sustaining the setback during the first half of Monday's 112-105 loss to the Chicago Bulls. The fact that the 21-year-old three-level scorer is being checked on by doctors can't help but cast some doubt on his ability to play in Wednesday's contest, but we'll see if he is spotted at morning shootaround ahead of time. Swingmen Aaron Nesmith, who averaged 17.0 points and 3.0 three-pointers in four games sans Mathurin last season, and Buddy Hield would figure to be the primary fantasy beneficiaries if Mathurin cannot be cleared for this one.
