Anfernee Simons Out With Knee Tendinitis
1 month agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's contest against the Houston Rockets. Simons is experiencing tendinitis in his left knee that will keep him off the court for a second straight game, with his next opportunity to play arriving on Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks. The last-place Blazers are certainly in no hurry to get their franchise two-guard back on the floor, however, at this stage of a lost season in Rip City. 2023 No. 2 overall pick Scoot Henderson has scuffled throughout his rookie campaign but has a chance to be a "silly-season" hero during the fantasy playoffs, starting six of Portland's past nine matchups. Across his last six appearances with Simons out of the lineup, Henderson is averaging 18.0 points, 5.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 1.6 treys in 28.1 minutes and belongs in all lineups in points leagues.
