Andres Gimenez Can't Shake Off Month-Long Slump
12 months agoCleveland Guardians second baseman Andres Gimenez went 0-for-3 in Monday's 3-0 win over the Chicago White Sox. He is now just 1-for-17 across his last five games. Even worse, the 24-year-old is hitting a lowly .174 with only four runs scored and four RBI in his previous 25 outings dating back to April 22. Gimenez has mostly failed to capitalize on the momentum of his breakout campaign in 2022 when he was an All-Star, but at least he has seven stolen bases this year. The speedy infielder owns a feeble 20% hard-hit rate, so fantasy managers simply have to weather the storm. It's hard to justify a buy-low case, however, in redraft leagues right now.
