Alex Bregman Cranks Grand Slam In Rout
10 months agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman closed 3-for-5 with a grand slam and two additional runs scored in Thursday's 14-0 thrashing of the St. Louis Cardinals. The 29-year-old's ninth-inning blast simply added insult to injury with Houston already up 10-0 in the contest. Bregman has performed quite productively over his last 45 at-bats, hitting .333 with three homers, 14 RBI, and two stolen bases over this 11-game span. Overall, the two-time All-Star is slashing a respectable .251/.346/.412 with 12 bombs, 53 RBI, and three pilfers across 358 plate appearances. Bregman next sees a four-game set with the Texas Rangers, who he is batting just .205 against with one long ball and six RBI in 73 ABs since 2022.
