Adolis Garcia Continues Explosive Year With Grand Slam
1 year agoTexas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs, and five RBI in a blowout win over the Oakland Athletics on Sunday. The 30-year-old's grand slam capped off an eight-run Rangers eruption during the eighth inning. Garcia already has nine multi-RBI games this year, now leading the majors with 42 total RBI. The slugger has streaky tendencies, evidenced by his season-high hitting streak lasting just four games. Garcia's hard-hit rate of 53.2% before Sunday's contest, however, lends itself to these massive lines occasionally. The former all-star is a key component of the Texas lineup as their everyday cleanup man, and Garcia's RBI upside will only amplify once Corey Seager returns to action.
