Since moving to welterweight, Buckley has won four fights in a row. In 15 minutes of action, Buckley landed four takedowns and 86 significant strikes. With the win, Buckley improved to 19-6 and is now 9-4 in the UFC. After three rounds, the scores were 30-27, 30-26, and 29-27, all in favor of Buckley. In 15 minutes of action, Ruziboev landed 31 significant strikes. 30-year-old Ruziboev dropped to 34-9-2, 2 NC. 4 days agoScoring the third-fastest finish in UFC light heavyweight history, Carlos Ulberg scored a 12-second knockout over Alonzo Menifield at UFC St. Louis on Saturday. Ulberg has now won his last six fights, scoring four knockouts and one submission stoppage along the way, and is most likely going to land somewhere in the top 15. From the opening bell, Menifield charged at Ulberg, only to be caught by Ulberg's left hook. In 12 seconds of action, Ulberg landed seven significant strikes. Menifield didn't have much of the chance to showcase his abilities as he was knocked out in 12 seconds. He entered the contest on a two-fight winning streak, his most recent being a unanimous decision victory over Dustin Jacoby this past December at UFC 296. 4 days agoAlex Caceres was defeated via controversial unanimous decision by Sean Woodson at UFC St. Louis, with the event taking place at Enterprise Center. This was Caceres' second consecutive loss. It was a competitive back-and-forth battle. Caceres handily lost the first round, the second round was razor-close, while the third looked to be Caceres' round. There was some controversy as most of the fans saw Caceres win the third round, while all three judges scored the round in favor of Woodson. This was a much closer fight than the scorecards suggested. Woodson handily won the first round, the second round could've gone either way, and Caceres without question won the third round in the eyes of most fans. 4 days agoRobelis Despaigne suffered a lopsided decision loss to Waldo Cortes-Acosta at UFC St. Louis which is his first career defeat. Despaigne entered the bout as the betting favorite, but the knockout artist struggled to defend takedowns as he was taken down once in each round, and couldn't get back up to his feet once he was taken down. 4 days agoWaldo Cortes-Acosta pulled off an upset decision win over Robelis Despaigne at UFC St. Louis on Saturday. Cortes-Acosta entered the bout as the underdog, but the Cuban went to his wrestling early and often to get a lopsided win. He finished the fight with three takedowns and 9:49 of control time. He got Despaigne down once in each round, and once he got him down, his opponent couldn't get up. With the upset win, Cortes-Acosta is now 12-1 as a pro and 5-1 in the UFC and is now on a three-fight winning streak.Source: UFC
4 days agoMateusz Rebecki suffered a third-round TKO loss to Diego Ferreira at UFC St. Louis. Rebecki entered the biggest favorite on the card, and in the first round, he dropped the Brazilian. However, after going for the finish, he appeared to gas himself out, as after that, Ferreira had his way with Rebecki. The Pole was outstruck 49-to-19 in the second round and 74-to-6 in the third round as the ref stopped the fight with nine seconds left. With the loss, Rebecki is now 3-1.Source: UFC
5 days agoDiego Ferreira was the biggest underdog on the card at UFC St. Louis and the 39-year-old Brazilian turned back the clock with a third-round stoppage win over Mateusz Rebecki. Ferreira got dropped early, but as Rebecki started to tire out, the Brazilian took over and began landing heavy shots. He ended up hurting Rebecki and with less than 10 seconds left, he got the ground-and-pound TKO finish. With the win, Ferreira is now on a two-fight winning streak and is 10-5 in the UFC.Source: UFC
