16 hours agoScoring the third-fastest finish in UFC light heavyweight history, Carlos Ulberg scored a 12-second knockout over Alonzo Menifield at UFC St. Louis on Saturday. Ulberg has now won his last six fights, scoring four knockouts and one submission stoppage along the way, and is most likely going to land somewhere in the top 15. From the opening bell, Menifield charged at Ulberg, only to be caught by Ulberg's left hook. In 12 seconds of action, Ulberg landed seven significant strikes. Outside of a loss in his UFC debut, Ulberg has been spotless in his past six fights.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

16 hours agoAlonzo Menifield suffered a first-round knockout loss to Carlos Ulberg at UFC St. Louis on Saturday. Menifield didn't have much of the chance to showcase his abilities as he was knocked out in 12 seconds. He entered the contest on a two-fight winning streak, his most recent being a unanimous decision victory over Dustin Jacoby this past December at UFC 296. In 12 seconds of action, Menifield landed only a single significant strike. With the loss, Menifield's UFC record is 8-4-1.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

16 hours agoAlex Caceres was defeated via controversial unanimous decision by Sean Woodson at UFC St. Louis, with the event taking place at Enterprise Center. This was Caceres' second consecutive loss. It was a competitive back-and-forth battle. Caceres handily lost the first round, the second round was razor-close, while the third looked to be Caceres' round. There was some controversy as most of the fans saw Caceres win the third round, while all three judges scored the round in favor of Woodson. In 15 minutes of action, Caceres landed 82 significant strikes. --Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

16 hours agoSean Woodson extended his win streak to five with a unanimous-decision win over UFC veteran Alex Caceres at UFC St. Louis on Saturday. This was a much closer fight than the scorecards suggested. Woodson handily won the first round, the second round could've gone either way, and Caceres without question won the third round in the eyes of most fans. In 15 minutes of action, Woodson landed 101 significant strikes. He's now 6-1-1 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

2 days agoRobelis Despaigne suffered a lopsided decision loss to Waldo Cortes-Acosta at UFC St. Louis which is his first career defeat. Despaigne entered the bout as the betting favorite, but the knockout artist struggled to defend takedowns as he was taken down once in each round, and couldn't get back up to his feet once he was taken down. He was controlled for over nine minutes. With the loss, Despaigne is now 5-1 as a pro and 1-1 in the UFC. --Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 days agoWaldo Cortes-Acosta pulled off an upset decision win over Robelis Despaigne at UFC St. Louis on Saturday. Cortes-Acosta entered the bout as the underdog, but the Cuban went to his wrestling early and often to get a lopsided win. He finished the fight with three takedowns and 9:49 of control time. He got Despaigne down once in each round, and once he got him down, his opponent couldn't get up. With the upset win, Cortes-Acosta is now 12-1 as a pro and 5-1 in the UFC and is now on a three-fight winning streak.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 days agoMateusz Rebecki suffered a third-round TKO loss to Diego Ferreira at UFC St. Louis. Rebecki entered the biggest favorite on the card, and in the first round, he dropped the Brazilian. However, after going for the finish, he appeared to gas himself out, as after that, Ferreira had his way with Rebecki. The Pole was outstruck 49-to-19 in the second round and 74-to-6 in the third round as the ref stopped the fight with nine seconds left. With the loss, Rebecki is now 3-1.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
Share:
2 days agoDiego Ferreira was the biggest underdog on the card at UFC St. Louis and the 39-year-old Brazilian turned back the clock with a third-round stoppage win over Mateusz Rebecki. Ferreira got dropped early, but as Rebecki started to tire out, the Brazilian took over and began landing heavy shots. He ended up hurting Rebecki and with less than 10 seconds left, he got the ground-and-pound TKO finish. With the win, Ferreira is now on a two-fight winning streak and is 10-5 in the UFC.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 days agoRodrigo Nascimento suffered a third-round knockout loss to Derrick Lewis in the main event of UFC St. Louis. Nascimento entered the bout as the underdog and early on, the Brazilian had success. He went 1-for-1 on takedowns in the first round and had over two minutes of control. He followed that up with 2:09 of control time in the second round. However, Nascimento started to fade and less than a minute into the third round, he got caught by a right hand that knocked him out. With the loss, Nascimento is 11-2 and one No Contest and is 4-2 and one NC in the UFC with both of his losses by knockout.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

2 days agoDerrick Lewis scored a third-round knockout win over Rodrigo Nascimento in the main event of UFC St. Louis on Saturday. Lewis entered the fight as the betting favorite and right away, it appeared he had rocked Nascimento. However, Lewis was controlled for 2:37 of the first round and was controlled for over two minutes in the second round. As it looked like the fight was getting away from him, Lewis landed a massive overhand right that dropped Nascimento, and he finished him off via ground and pound 49 seconds into the third round. With the win, Lewis is now 28-12 and 1 No Contest and is 19-10 in the UFC.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

4 days agoFresh off the biggest win of his career over Vicente Luque, Joaquin Buckley is set for a bout against Nursulton Ruziboev. The fight was a short-notice booking for both men. Buckley has looked great since moving down to welterweight and has defeated Andre Fialho, Alex Morono, and Luque. DraftKings sees Buckley as the favorite with a salary of $8,700. Throughout his UFC career (12 bouts), he averages 66.9 fantasy points per contest. Buckley thoroughly deserved a high-profile name after knocking out Luque but instead received someone just as dangerous.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

4 days agoOn the main card of UFC St. Louis, a light-heavyweight bout is set between Carlos Ulberg and Alonzo Menifield. Ulberg was set to take on former title challenger Dominick Reyes in January before Ulberg was forced to withdraw due to an injury. The fight was rescheduled but fell through again, only this time, it was Reyes who was forced to withdraw. Menifield steeped up to face Ulberg but Menifield needed more time to prepare, so the fight was moved to 11th May. DraftKings sees Ulberg as the favorite with a salary of $9,300. Throughout his UFC career (six bouts), he averages 90.5 fantasy points per contest. If Ulberg wins this fight, he will extend his win streak to six.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC
