Kristaps Porzingis 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoAfter being selected to his first All-Star game, New York Knicks forward/center Kristaps Porzingis tore his ACL right before the All-Star break, thus ending his season. Before the injury, Porzingis was on a tear, averaging 22.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and a league-leading (at the time) 2.4 blocks per game. However, Porzingis will enter this season on the mend with a targeted return date of February 2019. It would be in New York’s best interest to protect their star forward for as long as possible, so Porzingis could miss even more time this year, if he plays at all. Be wary of Porzingis and keep an eye out for more injury updates as the season nears. Porzingis is only recommended in late rounds for owners whose leagues allow an IR spot.
