Brandon Nimmo Hits Injured List With Shoulder Sprain
7 months agoThe New York Mets have placed outfielder Brandon Nimmo (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list with a sprained right shoulder. Nimmo had to leave during the fifth inning of Thursday's game against the Miami Marlins as a result of a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder, but it shouldn't affect his availability for the start of 2024. The 30-year-old hit for more power in the first year of his new Mets contract, matching a career high with 30 doubles and setting a new career best with 24 home runs in 682 trips to the dish. Despite Nimmo's speed and MLB's new base-stealing rules, he didn't unlock that area of his game with just three swipes. He should remain a solid source of runs and average next year with a big boost in fantasy leagues that count walks.
