Logan Gilbert Punches Out Nine In Second Win
12 months agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Logan Gilbert logged just his second win of the year in a 7-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Saturday. He struck out nine hitters, giving up only two runs, four hits, and one walk along the way. The 26-year-old continues a rock-solid season with a 3.91 ERA and an even better 1.02 WHIP despite surrendering multiple runs in each of his last six starts. Even though he hasn't been overly dominant, Gilbert is yet to succumb to any type of blow-up game in 2023. He's preserved his ERA from rising above 4.23 at any point. The former first-rounder tentatively has a date with the Oakland Athletics on Thursday.
