Lance Lynn Survives Seven Innings For First Time In 2023
12 months agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn had arguably his best start of the season in a win over the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday, fanning seven batters en route to earning his second win. He sat down the first 11 hitters of the game without a scratch and was ultimately charged with just one earned run. The 36-year-old needed an encouraging game in the worst way after holding an ugly 8.15 ERA over seven starts following the opening weekend. Despite the struggles, the two-time all-star's annually strong fastball spin remains intact. Lynn takes on the Kansas City Royals for a favorable matchup in his next start on Sunday, when he looks to build on Tuesday's showing. The big righty is 8-4 with a 3.83 ERA over 15 career starts against Kansas City.
