Zion Williamson Sitting Out Against Cavaliers
5 months agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (illness) will be absent for the seventh time this season for Thursday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a non-COVID illness. Williamson will hope to feel better and return for the Pelicans by the time Saturday comes around for a clash with the Houston Rockets. The oft-injured slashing superstar is supplying 22.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game in the Big Easy this year but sits outside fantasy's top 150 in category leagues largely because of his 65.2% free-throw shooting. Even if point forward Dyson Daniels draws the starting nod for New Orleans on Thursday, it needs to be noted that the sharpshooting Trey Murphy III erupted for a season-high 27 points, six threes, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals when Williamson was inactive on Dec. 13.
