Zion Williamson Resting On Thursday
7 months agoThe New Orleans Pelicans are sitting forward/center Zion Williamson (rest) for Thursday's game versus the Detroit Pistons. Williamson will take a seat for the first time this season as the Pelicans look to manage the load of their oft-injured two-time All-Star on the second part of a back-to-back. Expect maintenance days to be a regular occurrence for the slashing superstar, but Williamson's fantasy managers should be glad to hear New Orleans won't play two games in as many days again until Nov. 17 and Nov. 18. Zion, who's not doing 9-category players any favors with his 59.3% free-throw shooting, 3.0 average turnovers, and zero total blocks through four contests, should be back in head coach Willie Green's starting lineup on Saturday vs. the Atlanta Hawks. Larry Nance Jr. or Dyson Daniels could jump into the first unit as plug-and-play options depending on Detroit's starters, but both are in line for increased run on Thursday.
