Tyler Johnson 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoMiami Heat guard Tyler Johnson will be one of the players aiming to post a bounce-back year in 2018-19 after his numbers took a hit last season even after recording a career-high 39 starts. Johnson improved his free throw shooting to 82.2 percent but managed to average only 11.7 points. He logged 28.5 minutes per game during the regular season, but head coach Eric Spoelstra didn't trust him much in the playoffs, as his playing time dropped to 16.2 minutes. It's best to avoid him come draft time, as the Heat's guard rotation looks tough to predict and Dwyane Wade's return further complicates things for Johnson, who added 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists to his tally last year. He's on an ugly contract as well after agreeing to an offer sheet from the Nets a couple of years back, so a trade, which could boost his fantasy value, isn't on the cards either.
