Tommy Edman Set For Live At-Bats Next Week
10 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman (wrist) is scheduled to take live at-bats at some point in Arizona during the team's upcoming series against the Diamondbacks, which begins on Monday. The 28-year-old has been on the mend with right wrist inflammation since July 7 and recently received an injection amid the All-Star break as he fields and throws without problems. If Edman is able to handle swings without a setback, it looks like he could potentially be activated off the 10-day injured list as early as next weekend. The former Gold Glover is batting .237 with a .693 OPS, seven home runs, 29 RBI, and 14 stolen bases in 372 at-bats this year. Edman deserves to be stashed in the majority of fantasy leagues for his speed alone.
